Martialnote

For a judo club

A judo club is often several classes on the same evening, children, adults and competitors, with dues to track and belts to prepare.

What your club has to keep

Classes are split by age and level, and the same student can move from one group to another during the year. Belts are prepared with conditions of age and practice, and competitions require knowing who is entered, in which category and since when. Families often enrol two children at once, sometimes three.

  • Several groups per evening.
  • Children, adults, competitors.
  • Belts and promotion conditions.
  • Siblings enrolled together.

What Martialnote does for this style

The judo rank template is ready, with the belts in order and the stripes; you adjust it to your club's habits. Groups are created when your list is imported or by hand, and each class has its attendance sheet. Dues tracking shows arrears per family, and the family rate applies once you set it.

  • Belt template ready to adjust.
  • Groups created on import or by hand.
  • Dues arrears visible per family.
  • One attendance sheet per class.

The starting Judo program

When the school is created, Martialnote offers the “Judo, foundations” template. Every item can be renamed, moved or removed; the categories are: Ukemi (falls), Nage-waza (throws), Katame-waza (pins), {Fs}.

  • Ukemi (falls) : Back and side falls
  • Ukemi (falls) : Forward rolling fall
  • Nage-waza (throws) : O-goshi
  • Nage-waza (throws) : O-soto-gari
  • Nage-waza (throws) : Seoi-nage
  • Nage-waza (throws) : Uchi-mata
  • Katame-waza (pins) : Kesa-gatame
  • Katame-waza (pins) : Yoko-shiho-gatame
  • {Fs} : Nage-no-kata — first set

Ranks

A rank template is offered as a starting point, with no official character: it describes a common usage, which your school renames and recolours freely. Promotion conditions — age, months of practice, attendance — are set per rank.

  • Judo (Judo Canada) — Children’s half-belts, Kyu, Dan
  • Generic kyu and dan — Kyu, Dan

Questions

Can I manage competitions in the app?

The app tracks progress and attendance; competition entries are handled outside, but you can mark a milestone on a student's record.

A student changes group in January. Is that simple?

Yes. The group is changed on their record; the attendance history stays intact.
