For a capoeira school

What your school has to keep

Students learn movements, sequences and songs, and progress is often decided during rodas and events. Cords mark the steps, but they come with a judgement about attendance, attitude and participation in the group. Schools also welcome children, with families often involved in the music.

• Movements, sequences, songs.
• Rodas and events that mark progress.
• Cords and the group's judgement.
• Children's classes and involved families.

What Martialnote does for this style

The capoeira cord template is ready, with the colours in order; you adjust it to your group's habits. Program items cover movements as well as songs, and events are noted as milestones on students' records. Attendance is taken quickly, which matters when the roda is starting and nobody has time to keep a book.

• Cord template ready to adjust.
• Movements and songs in the program.
• Events marked as milestones.
• Fast attendance before the roda.

Ranks

A rank template is offered as a starting point, with no official character: it describes a common usage, which your school renames and recolours freely. Promotion conditions — age, months of practice, attendance — are set per rank.
