Martialnote

Whole families, without duplicate records

In many schools a parent trains, so does their child, and sometimes the second one too. Martialnote groups those people into one family, without losing contact details or writing to the wrong adult.

One family, several people

Each member keeps their own record and subscription, but the people of one family are linked. A parent who is also a student becomes a contact attached to their child. You see at a glance how many members the family has, who the main contact is and who settles what.

  • Each member keeps their own record.
  • A parent can also be a student.
  • One main contact per family.
  • The family make-up, visible in full.

Minors and their contact details

For a minor student, the email address is the parent's or guardian's: that is where messages go, and that is the contact shown as responsible. Children's information is handled with the same care as adults', and the privacy policy says plainly what is kept and for how long.

  • A minor's email is their parent's.
  • Messages go to the right adult.
  • Emergency contacts on the record, if needed.

The family rate

When several members of one family train, the school can apply a family rate. It is set once, and the due date calculation takes it into account for the subscriptions concerned. Dues tracking then shows a balance per subscription, without you redoing the arithmetic every month.

Questions

Can a parent have their own student record?

Yes. One person can be both a student and the contact for a child in the family.

Is a minor's contact detail the parent's?

Yes. For a minor student, the app uses the parent's or guardian's email for messages.

How does the family rate work?

It is set in the settings; the due date calculation for the subscriptions concerned takes it into account automatically.
