Student profile
Screen: Students > tap a student (/students/:id). Who: owner and instructor; only the
owner edits and sees contact details.
What the profile shows
- Identity: name, groups, status (Active or Inactive), Minor badge.
- Parents and guardians (minor): see Families and parents.
- Contact details (adult, owner only): email and phone.
- Enrollment: enrollment date ("Enrolled since"), groups, status. For a student imported without a date, the value is "Enrolled before {date}" with a help note: the date shown is the import day. Correcting the date removes the note. The displayed enrollment date never enters the active-student calculation of the Martialnote plan (see the Martialnote plan article).
- Subscriptions: current subscriptions, count for the month or the card, This month − / + (owner and instructor); see the Subscriptions article. The profile header shows the fee badges (Renew soon, Payment due, Paused; no amount, visible to both roles). The owner also sees, per subscription, what is due, Confirm a payment, Pause or Resume, Price for this student and, in the Due dates list, Correct the amount of a due date not fully paid; see the Fees article. The Recent payments block lists the latest 3 payments, each with a Cancel button (see "Cancel a payment" in Fees).
- Emergency contact: name, relationship, phone, and a button to call. Visible to everyone, including the instructor.
- Family: the other family members, each leading to their profile.
- Progression: for each followed curriculum, last learned, "Up next", the current grade if there is a grade system (small belt, "Yellow · 2 stripes" or "No grade awarded") and last note; View progression opens the student's progression screen. Visible to the owner and the instructor; see the Progression article.
- Change history.
- Move to trash (owner).
Hidden contact details
Emails and phones are hidden when the profile opens (e.g. 514 •••-••12, j•••••@exemple.ca).
The owner taps Show to see them in full and be able to write or call, then Hide. They are
hidden again as soon as you leave the profile. The instructor sees no contact details, not even
hidden ones, and has no Show button.
Editing the profile (owner)
- Tap Edit (under the name).
- Change as needed: first name, last name, groups, Minor student, email and phone (adult only), Status (Active / Inactive), Enrolled since, and the Emergency contact (name, relationship, phone).
- Tap Save.
Rules:
- Make a student inactive when they stop coming: they stay in the app (Inactive filter) with their whole history. To remove them, use the trash instead.
- Changing an adult to a minor asks for confirmation: their email and phone are erased, and a family is created if they have none. It is refused if this person is a parent or guardian in a family (a minor cannot be one): remove them from that role first.
- A minor cannot have an email or phone of their own.
- Enrolled since: displayed date, editable by the owner. Correcting the date of a student with an estimated date removes the "Enrolled before" note. This date does not count for active students: only activities in the last 90 days and the record date count (the day it was created in the app, or the spreadsheet date for an imported record).
Change history
The last 10 changes, newest first: date, kind ("Profile created", "Changed: contact details", "Parent or guardian added"…) and the name of the person who made it. See all shows up to 200 entries. The history says who changed what, but never the old or new values. Both roles can view it.
Moving to the trash (owner)
Tap Move to trash at the bottom of the profile. The app goes back to the list and offers Undo for 7 seconds. After that, the student stays 30 days in the trash (see Trash). Their progression (statuses, notes, milestones) is hidden with them and returns when they are restored.
Profile not found
"Student not found": the profile was moved to the trash, or the link is wrong. Tap Back to the list. The owner can restore it from the trash.
