MartialnoteIs the photo of the list sent to an AI, and is it kept?
Yes: when the option is enabled, the photo is sent in memory to OpenRouter and the AI model provider to read the names. Martialnote keeps neither the photo nor the names it reads; it only keeps technical metadata (size, model, number of names, cost).
Photo reading is off by default: the owner enables it for their school, knowing about this transfer. It can be turned off in the same place with Turn off photo reading. The photo may contain minors' names: only enable it if the school is allowed to send them.
Without activation, .xlsx or .csv file import keeps working and the photo is never sent.
