MartialnoteWhere is my data hosted?
Martialnote's data is hosted in the United States, not in Canada. There is no choice of region: all schools are in the same place.
It is protected there by:
- encrypted connections (HTTPS) between the app and the server;
- the isolation of each school in the database (a school never sees another school's data);
- a backup every day, encrypted before it leaves the server, kept for 12 months at most.
Providers: Hostinger (server hosting), Backblaze (encrypted backups) and Resend (email delivery). Reading names from a photo (off by default) sends the photo to OpenRouter and to the AI model provider, only if the owner turns it on.
A school can export all of its data at any time (Settings › Data › Export everything). For a more specific question (contract, transfer outside your country), write to bonjour@martialnote.com.
