Where can I read Martialnote's terms of use?

The terms of use are published at martialnote.com/en/terms.html (French: martialnote.com/conditions.html). You can also open them from the account creation screen (link Read the terms of use, under the consent box) or with the Terms link at the bottom of every landing page. The version in effect since October 28, 2026 is replaced by a new version effective December 1, 2026, which clarifies the definition of an active student.

In short, they say:

• Account: sign-in by email link, no password; the owner chooses who can access the school and is responsible for how their instructors use it; an account belongs to a single school.
• Data: it belongs to the school and can be exported in full at any time (Settings > Data); no selling, no sharing, no advertising. The school is responsible for the information it collects . The trash keeps what is deleted for 30 days.
• Pricing: free up to 25 active students. An active student had an attendance, a dues payment or a curriculum item learned or validated in the last 90 days, or their record is less than 90 days old (see the Martialnote plan article); a month's measurement is the highest number reached during that month. Above 25, $24.99 per month (regular rate) or $14.99 per month for life (founder rate: the first 25 paying schools, and any free school that goes beyond 25 active students), taxes included; or $149 / $249 per year. No credit card is asked to start. Payment by card through Stripe, automatic renewal (monthly or yearly) until cancelled; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period, with no pro rata refund of the rest; first payment refunded on request within 30 days of the first charge; if a paying school drops to 25 active students or fewer at two counts in a row, the subscription ends at the end of the paid period; on non-payment, the school becomes read-only (viewing, exporting and signing in stay possible, nothing is deleted). Any change to the regular rate is announced 30 days in advance.
• Acceptable use: no email to people with no connection to the school, no attempt to access another school's data; otherwise, access can be suspended (data stays exportable).
• Closing: write to bonjour@martialnote.com to close the school or delete the account (no self-service in the app). If Martialnote shut down: six months' notice and an automatic export.
• Changes: any significant change to the terms is announced by email 30 days in advance.
• Governing law: laws of Québec and Canada, courts of Québec.
