What does Martialnote measure?

Martialnote measures its use to know which screens and features truly help, and where schools give up (for example during setup or import). The measurement is anonymous: it never says who does what.

What is measured

• The screens (pages) visited, as a route template (/students/:id), never the real address or the query parameters.
• The features used: account creation, setup steps, record created, import (file or photo), attendance saved, class created, session cancelled or moved, grade awarded, message sent, fee recorded, export, restore from the trash, language or style changed.
• Categories only: role (owner or instructor), language, display style, school size band (0, 1 to 10, 11 to 25, 26 to 50, 51 to 100, more than 100 students) and age band.

What is never measured

• No name, email, phone number or address.
• No school, account or student identifier.
• No amount.
• No free text: no subject or body of a message, no note, no record content.
• Never the real address of a screen with an identifier: it is sent as a template only.

How it is done

• No cookie and no advertising tracker. The measurement is served and hosted by Martialnote, on the same server, and the data stays with Martialnote.
• The sign-in (login link), unsubscribe and operator decision screens are never measured.
• An account without a school (including the operator) is never measured.

How to refuse it

• With Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control enabled in the browser, nothing is sent.
• If no measurement identifier is configured, no script is loaded at all.
