"Grades have already been awarded in this system: edit it grade by grade instead of changing the template."

Where: Grade system screen > Change template. Owner only.

Why: changing the template replaces all series and grades. As soon as at least one grade or stripe has been awarded in this system (even an award moved to the trash), changing the template is refused, so that a student’s history is never erased.

What to do: edit the system grade by grade: rename, recolour, change stripes and requirements, reorder, add or remove grades. To start over anyway: Remove the system (trash), then Add a grade system with the new template; awards of the old system stay hidden while it is in the trash.
